Alvin Stardust guitar insured for £1.5 million

Alvin Stardust was the owner of a guitar insured for £1.5 million.

12-year old Bernard Jewry, who would later change his name to Alvin Stardust. ‘When I was 12 my mum and dad bought me my first guitar for my birthday. They paid £1 10 shillings for it.’

Slipknot is going to ruin Neil Diamond’s chance at scoring only the second number 1 of his career.

Up until 2008, Diamond had never had a number 1 album, only making it to number 2 in 1973 with the soundtrack to Johnathan Livingston Seagull. Then he released Home Before Dark in 2008, his second introspective album produced by Rick Rubin, and he hit the top.

Ariana Grande's Ebola fears

Ariana Grande is terrified of catching Ebola, according to reports.

The 21-year-old singer had been scheduled to attend a non-profit charity’s annual gala in New York on Wednesday night. And while organisers blamed a ‘scheduling conflict’ for her absence, sources have revealed that it’s her fear that she might contract the deadly virus which prevented her from attending.

Ariana’s concerns come after it was revealed New York doctor Craig Spencer had tested positive for Ebola.

A guest at the charity event, held to raise money for children in developing countries, told the New York Daily News: ‘Everybody got there and was waiting for her to arrive and she was also supposed to be a surprise musical guest.

Brown meeting probation requirements

Chris Brown is cooperating with his probation department, according to a judge.

The singer Thursday attended a progress hearing stemming from an arrest earlier this year, violating the terms of his probation for his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Judge James Brandlin told Chris he’s shown ‘good cooperation’ since his last August hearing, according to the Associated Press.

Chris’ community labour requirement was nevertheless increased from three to four days in order to meet a work requirement before his probation is scheduled to end in January, the outlet reports.

The star’s next hearing is scheduled for January 15.
